Martela Menu ChairIt's a pretty serious matter – hundreds of millions of people sitting in restaurants
and bars, but only a few Martela-designed chair under any of them. It goes without saying, it would be extremely unwise not be involved in this business
It's also a big decision to make the substantial investments required to introduce
new products into restaurants, bars or bistros. Is the time ripe for making an
extensive market survey to understand how restaurants operate around the world
– how they evolve from morning to evening, and from evening to night; what
functions they have in different cultures; what they include, and how does it look
and feel? Such a survey might be pretty difficult and quite expensive. And who
would be able to design a chair for people who want to sit down and relax on an
evening out, without any reminders of lecture rooms or hectic working environments
– especially when this person should also know what goes on in restaurants around
the world?
